Of Nunavut

The Black Nurses Association Of Nunavut (BNAN) is a non-profit organization founded to create a supportive network, advocate and uplift Black nurses and nursing students in Nunavut. We aim to advance health equity, cultural safety, and professional excellence through collaboration, mentorship, and community-driven care. Our vision is to foster a healthcare environment where Black nurses feel empowered, heard, and valued. BNAN also strives to break systemic barriers by promoting diversity in leadership, equitable access to opportunities, and inclusive policies within healthcare systems. Through educational initiatives, peer support, and partnerships with healthcare institutions, we work to inspire the next generation of Black healthcare professionals. Together, we are building a strong, resilient, and culturally competent nursing community in Nunavut and beyond.
